Follow these simple care tips to keep your Half Sweet products silky, smooth, and looking their best for as long as possible.
Our braiding hair is premium quality and designed to be tangle-free, but its lifespan depends entirely on how it’s worn.
✶ Single-Use vs. Reuse: This hair is generally meant for single use. If you wear your braids for multiple days, the hair typically cannot be saved after removal.
✶ The Exception: If you are only wearing the braids for a single night and avoid heavy hair products, the hair can absolutely be saved and reused!
✶ Maintenance: Take care of the hair while it is braided to keep it looking fresh, and avoid heavy gels or oils if you plan on trying to reuse it. If style has loose ends, keep a brush handy to smooth tangles.
Our tie-in braids are fully reusable and built to last with the proper care!
✶ Daily Wear: Treat them gently while wearing. Always remove your tie-in braids before going to sleep to prevent matting and tangling.
✶ Storage: Store them in their original packaging in a safe, temperature-controlled place. Avoid extreme heat or cold, as intense temperatures can cause the elastic bands to snap.
✶ Grooming: Gently brush out any loose pieces of the braids after wear to keep them looking neat.
This hair behaves just like naturally curly hair and requires specific care to keep its definition.
✶ Skip the Brush: Brushing or combing this hair while dry will separate the curls and cause instant frizz. Instead, gently finger-detangle.
✶ The Reset Routine: If the curls start to lose their shape or look frizzy, you can easily reset them. Mist the hair with water mixed with a little leave-in conditioner or hairspray, then gently scrunch the curls upward and let them air dry.
✶ Friction Warning: Avoid rubbing the curls against rough fabrics or sweaters, as synthetic curls are prone to static tangles from friction.

✶ On-the-Go Care: Keep a brush on hand while wearing your ponytail to smooth out any flyaways throughout the day.
✶ Wind Protection: If you’re heading out into windy weather, secure the ponytail into a loose braid. This prevents the wind from whipping it into tangles and keeps it looking neat.
✶ Nighttime Care: Always remove your ponytail before going to sleep to prevent matting. Store it safely back in its original packaging when not in use.

Half Sweet Hair is premium quality. It is significantly silkier and softer than standard beauty supply or Amazon hair. This makes it perfect for festival styles where the ends are left loose or partially loose, as it moves beautifully without tangling easily.
Yes, our hair is heat resistant up to 250°F. You can use a straightening iron at or below this temperature to reset and smooth the hair.
However, please note that it will not hold a curl using a traditional curling iron. To curl Half Sweet Hair, you will need to wrap it on styling rods and use the hot water set method.
Half Sweet fibers are loved by many clients for box braids and other protective styles! The installation process differs slightly from traditional textured braiding hair due to the silky texture of our hair. Small adjustments to preparation and braiding technique should help prevent tangling or shedding during installation!
We recommend 2-3 packs of hair per basic style.
